It was great to be back on the Lower Sac during the start of the Spring season for 2026. This time it was to hang with some great clients and celebrate a birthday. Those fish were STRONG!
We fished down river first and I was not surprised that the fish were a bit smaller down river than up river. They were grabbing mostly on yellow beads for me downriver but as soon as we went upriver, all PMD and caddis variations were doing it. Weather was perfect but did get a bit of wind each day.
I was a bit worried as I was encountering some severe shoulder pains. Ouch…but I powerd through, and as I write this, I am good to go.
The next two days were up river to celebrate Jimmy’s birthday. I love you Jimbo and appreciate all of the support. What a great couple of days of fishing and it was good to see Gary getting the hang of it!!!
I’ve been teaching Gary for a few years now and I am so impressed with how far he’s come.
Great fish this trip. It’s great to see the Lower Sac not running so high for so long right now. Super stoked on such a great time with my dudes.
