A Fly Fishing Lifestyle Brand
(That Doesn't Take Itself Too Seriously)
We say it all the time: “We’re a fly fishing lifestyle brand that celebrates the love for fly fishing, fun, and tacos.” But really, Taco Fly Co. is just an excuse to hang with the crew, push creative boundaries, and share a love for this life with people who get it. If you’ve ever cracked a beer at the trailhead or fished until sunset in soggy waders, you’re already part of the club.
The Shift in the Fly Fishing Industry
There’s a shift happening—and we’re riding the wave. Fly fishing doesn’t have to be a gatekept old boys’ club. It can be art, music, beer, laughter, tacos, and punk rock vibes. We’re not here to play it safe. We might ruffle feathers, but we’ll be too busy having fun to care. This community is about doing it our way, with wild casts, louder laughs, and dirtbag spirit. If you’re down for that, you’re one of us.
The Art of the Pour (and the Pour of the Art)
Our beer collabs are more than cans—they’re stories. We team up with artists and brewers to create small-batch runs built for the backcountry. Every label has its own energy, every pour its own vibe. These aren’t your average taproom releases—they’re meant for trailheads, campfires, post-mission hangs, and stories you’ll tell for years. We don’t just drink beer—we pour personality into every can.
Our Special Beers (that are actually special)
From hoppy IPAs to crisp lagers, every TFC beer is brewed with purpose—and a touch of mischief. They’re inspired by fish, funk, forest, and freedom. These brews come in hot and don’t stick around forever, and that’s exactly how we like it. If you’ve had one, you get it. If you haven’t… well, that’s a you problem. Grab a can, crack it open, and see what a little weirdness and a lot of love tastes like.
Meet the Crew
Taco Fly Co. is powered by a small group of weirdos who live this life. We’re artists, anglers, dirtbags, snowboarders, and storytellers. Some of us cast better than we talk. Some of us talk better than we cast. But together, we bring this brand to life and keep the vibes high. Get to know the crew behind the scenes—and in front of the lens.

Words can only go so far. Hit play and see what we’re about. Our short video dives into the essence of Taco Fly Co.—the rivers, the beers, the chaos, the community. From sketchpads to cast lines to cold pours, this is our world.
In this video we head down to the magical Magdalena Bay in Baja Cali Sur, Mexico to chase mahi mahi and striped marlin on the fly! We stayed with MagBay Lodge in Puerto San Carlos.
What an epic trip! My first fly out in Alaska. I decided to pursue Silver Salmon on the fly on the Chuitna River for my first time heading west over the Cook Inlet.
WORLD WIDE PREMIERE! No drone shots, no slow mos, too many tacos and some fun. Mucho love to everyone who came out to the tour. Check out this video!
Oh wow. What a season. I was too busy this season while guiding for steelhead on the Trinity River to make a full length video of all of the trips, but there was a special day that I had to capture on video.
Love these boys! The So Fly Crew was gracious and radical enough to join me for a podcast session to talk about none other than, THEM! Yes, I met Mitch and Aldo in Montana during the Redington Rodeo and really didn’t know much about So Fly at that time.
Taco Fly Co. joins Eeland Stribling, William O’neal, Jesse Flinck, and Andrew Broestl in Ambergis Caye, Belize to learn how to fish the flats. We DIY using golf carts and our own eyes off the coast to spot bonefish and hopefully any other creatures who live on the flats.
In this episode, the Taco Fly Co. crew meets up in Montana for a good few days on the Missouri River. Found some tacos in Idaho on the way there and also fished a bit on Henry’s fork. This is a quick edit filmed exclusively on blackberry phones! Just kidding.
Got a GoBro! So let’s go fishing. We hit a river in California during the Shad run. Swingin’ em’, strippin’ em’ and drinking em’. Post fishing trip deserves tacos when there is quesabirrias. Enjoy this quick edit of California Fly Fishing.
Fly fishing for dorado / mahi mahi in Baja California out of Magdalena Bay, San Carlos, Baja California. Epic panga days out on the Pacific Ocean stripping massive flies for hungry dorado. They are tuggers!
Megan and Mario ripping on some bows in the Lost Sierras. Stoke is real, fun is fun. Please enjoy! Submit your complaints about the video to our customer service department. They can be reached at 911-911-9111.
In this Taco Fly Co. Fly Fishing Video You Tube Channel Extravaganza episode, Mario, Iggy, Tremor & Kris head out to Mexico (not Mexico) to catch come browns. We finally got Jerome the drone up and running! DRONE SHOTS!
Quick clip of Cody Hunt Euro Nymphing in Plumas County. The bows here are real pretty.
For this Taco Tuesday Special, we put together a short edit of Iggy fighting and landing a 14 pound Lahontan Cutthroat trout from Pyramid Lake. Epic battle and almost lost it on the rocks a few times. Epic fish, epic place, epic Mexican.
Well it wasn’t a day, but a “weekend in the taco”. In this episode, Mario & Cody head out to a secret lake & the Trinity River. Is the lake really secret!? NAHHHH! We’ll tell you where it is. Just email us!
Make any beer a special one with the Special Beer Coozie. Yeah we may have spelled cervezas wrong, but who’s going to know the difference when you’re busy making them special beers. They’ll be busy drinking, not reading.
2018 was epic. It was an amazing year and super excited for what’s ahead. We decided to end the year with a trip to Pyramid Lake. It was epic. Stayed in one of the trailers in Crosby’s Lodge, made tacos, drank special beers, and tied flies.
You’d think our first video would be about fly fishing…but we don’t know what we’re doing. So we decided to show people how to make “Special Beers”!
At the end of the day, we’re just trying to have fun, make cool stuff, and hang with people who get it. Taco Fly Co. isn’t about rules—it’s about living the life you want, the way you want it.
Thanks for riding with us. Now crack a beer, rig your rod, and get weird.
- just having fun
